BaBeBiBoBu
Children Theatre/Non-verbal play
For the upcoming June, local children’s theatre production team, HongJieJie Work Station will produce a children play with the title of “BaBeBiBoBu”. The play will be presented in a unique way, as it eliminates dialogue and uses simple English verbs to deliver the story of the play. It allows children to think and imagine helping them to stimulate imagination and creativity through the story of Gary and his pet dog Gatsby.
For director Grace Looi, family plays an important part in everyone’s life, from parents, to children, and among them, among siblings. To her, this is the bedrock of future attitudes children hold towards life and society. It is also philosophical reflection on how children could relate to people around them.
Throughout the play, children will learn how to respect others as respect is the key for the children to learn how to maintain a good relationship with others. It will benefit them when they are communicating with people or even working with other people in the future.
The play will be at The Play Haus (Pearl Shopping Gallery) from 17th to 25th. Children are encouraged to watch the show because they will learn some valuable lessons throughout the play.
