文:蔡兩俊 前幾天在新加坡華文報《聯合早報》上又見到郭寶崑的名字。這次是在一篇稍微談及(或重複)新加坡華語劇場的華語式悲情的文字裏。新聞工作者周文龍在和新加坡劇藝工作坊 的倫尚人 談話時提到:「因為郭寶崑有深厚的中國文化根基,對西方文化有深切瞭解,所以能創作出許多具有思想高度,深具新加坡性的戲劇作品。」 從郭寶崑個人的修養進行剖析,我們知道他精通華語(中國地區的主要語言)、英語(能和西方國家溝通的語言),對兩個地區的文化有瞭解,再進行思想和創作,而創作出有思想高度的作品。 這其實就是一種新加坡(和東南亞以外劇場)華人或以華語為媒介的劇場特性。
