评新加坡实践剧场音乐剧《天冷就回来》

剧照由实践剧场提供 日期:2007年8月17日 时间:晚间8时正 地点:新加坡戏剧中心 蔡两俊 2007年8月18日 不管是商业演出,还是非商业演出,戏剧的主要目的是要感动观众。在娱乐观众时,不免要提醒他们一下人生道理。这两点,由香港编剧杜国威所写,新加坡实践剧场所呈献的主流商业演出〈天冷就回来〉-简称〈冷〉-就已经做到了。在艺术层次上,也仅是如此。但是,从另一个观点来看,目前在新加坡,〈冷〉是一个非常成功的制作。因为实践剧场已经开始运用主流商业剧场的模式,和新加坡英语剧场里的商业戏剧团体并列,用各种不同的行销策略,来吸引观众。在努力达到这个点的当儿,实践剧场的创作者们是否有被商业戏剧的需要所影响,往后会继续创作一般人所能接受的通俗戏剧呢?其实,也可以,因为这也只是艺术策略而已,和“先鸡后蛋或先蛋后鸡”的挣扎问题一样,难以得到答案。实践剧场同仁也知道这一点。他们的“勒紧腰带”系列演出就是一个好例子-艺术层次较为深沉的作品,都会在这里展演,且是免费供人欣赏的。The Tosca Project 就是一个令人期待的作品。
